Multi-award winning folk musician Jim Moray presents a live performance of his acclaimed album Upcetera.

Accompanied by a 9 piece ensemble including strings, woodwind, piano, double bass and drums, he reimagines traditional ballads as dramatically orchestrated torch songs or a sort of English Fado.

For 15 years Jim Moray has been at the forefront of a new movement in English traditional music.

Upcetera heralds a new chapter for the producer and has received the best reviews of his career, including five stars from Mojo, fRoots and R2 magazines.

City kit up future stars at Exeter College

Exeter City Football Club have kitted up future stars at Exeter College to celebrate both 15 years of partnership and Futsal becoming part of the college Sports Academy offer.

The long-established partnership with the college has gone from strength to strength in recent years and now sees 45 students on the men’s academy, 23 on the women’s academy, and 50 students combined taking part in the level two and three futsal Academy.

Driver hurt after car transporter overturns in Mid Devon

Police are appealing to the public following a serious collision which left one man with serious injuries.

At approximately 5.47pm on Monday 12 December, a single vehicle collision occurred on the A361 at Crazy Loman Bridge, Tiverton.

A white Scania car transporter, travelling in the direction of Bolham, left the road causing it to roll into the nearside. The vehicle was transporting approximately ten cars.

A male driver was trapped for over two hours whilst emergency services worked to free him. The man was taken to The Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital with non life...

Carols on the Quay a success

Exmouth Quay’s annual concert of traditional Christmas carols held on Sunday 11 December was a huge success with well over a hundred people joining in the fun.

The Exmouth Town Band, Exmouth Shanty Men, and the Woodbury Community choir provided the music for the event which was hosted by Martin Nicholls and raised funds for Christian Aid.
