Exciting plans are being made for Exeter Pride on Saturday 13 May 2017.
It will be the biggest free celebration of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT+) communities in the county of Devon - and is one of the first in the UK summer calendar of similar such events.
The ninth annual event will include the always popular rainbow flag parade from the St Sidwell Centre down Exeter High Street to Northernhay Gardens, Exeter Phoenix, Exeter Library and Rougemont Gardens, where a packed programme of activities will await.
Exeter's famous Red Coat Guided Tours have announced a temporary programme following the fire at the Royal Clarence Hotel and limited access in the city centre.
The temporary programme will run from now for the foreseeable future. These tours will run daily:
11am: City To Quay – finishes on the Quayside
2pm: Exeter Old & New – Finishes at the Guildhall
Each script has been adapted to talk about last week’s events.
The Tours will start from outside of the Tourist information Centre and will last for ninety minutes.
Offwell Primary from Honiton, Redhills Primary in Exeter and the ACE MAT have been successful in gaining Erasmus+ funding to take part in an Erasmus + project which will be coordinated by the English teacher, Enrique Ruiz from CEIP Andrés García Soler in Spain.
This project, therefore, includes these two Primary schools from Devon, the MAT, the Spanish school, Scuola Padre Pio from Altamura, Italy and Rigas Classical Gymnasium from Latvia as well as Antonio de Nebrija University from Madrid.
