Festival Of The Dead, the hugely popular 'deathly fiesta' lands at The Great Hall, University of Exeter on Friday 25th October for its 4th year touring, with brand new, mind-blowing production infusing carnival, circus, theatre and clubbing. New for 2019, Festival of the Dead presents 'The Dark Carnival' featuring a whole new cast of characters and otherworldly creations, acrobats, circus performers, magnificent carnival processions through the crowd, and much more, all set to a high octane soundtrack.

Local artist Leo Jamelli has collaborated with the University of Exeter to create a piece of emotional public artwork to be displayed in City Centre.

The large-scale artwork, created to celebrate carers, will be shown between 8.00pm and Midnight on both 20th and 21st September. It will appear on the historic St Catherine's Almshouse, on the site of the iconic ruin in the Princesshay shopping precinct.

Age UK Devon, Forestry England and Active Devon invite people aged over 50 to join a day of FREE taster activities at Haldon Forest Park, near Exeter. It is a well-known fact that being active in the natural environment can be beneficial to both physical and mental health. A walk or a jog through the woods will increase activity levels, improve overall fitness and boost wellbeing.

Candles on the Canal is a new event hosted by local charity Hospiscare. Its purpose is to bring hundreds of local people together for a relaxed and uplifting evening in memory of loved ones who have died, taking place on Saturday 21 September from 4:30pm. Everyone is welcome regardless of who they are remembering, how long ago their loved ones died or whether they were looked after by Hospiscare.

We are a friendly, social group who raise money to support the Hospice services that are provided in Crediton and the surrounding communities.

We enjoy organising fun, local events in the town and are proud to say we raise thousands of pounds each year to help support the local nurses who care for people in our community in their homes when they have been given a terminal diagnosis and need expert end of life care.

In 2016, Di & Sammi Rosser took part in the Twilight Walk simply because it sounded like a fun event and they felt that Hospiscare was a charity worth supporting. They could never have imagined two years later they would be walking in memory, having placed a photo of their much loved husband and dad Jeff on their memory star and displaying it, with so many others, within the special memory tent at The Maer, Exmouth.

Top wedding suppliers from across the south west came together for a prestigious awards ceremony at Rockbeare Manor, outside Exeter.

The venue played host to 175 guests who were attending the south west regional finals of the Wedding Industry Awards – the only regional and national client voted awards in the wedding industry.

The evening recognises the huge wealth of talent available in the wedding industry across the region, ranging from venues, photographers, caterers, hairdressers and everything else in between.

Princesshay and Reiss hosted an exclusive VIP event on Thursday night for regional media and bloggers to celebrate the start of Christmas in Exeter.

The event included an evening of fashion, beauty, fizz and canapes courtesy of Lloyd’s Lounge, along with a festive styling session from Reiss’ store manager, Helena Paterson.

Saks, Goldsmiths and Kiel’s all provided a taste of their Christmas offerings at the event, and music was provided by local duo Conscious Club.
