January Sessions: Try something new this New Year
January is often a month of resolutions and resets and InExeter is inviting everyone to try something new.
January Sessions is a programme of activity-led, no or low alcohol evenings across the city - great nights out that fit perfectly with Dry January, and a fresh start to the year without losing any of the fun.
From learning a new craft to joining a welcoming group or mixing up amazing flavours at tea-based mixology classes, January Sessions offers creative, social and relaxing ways to reset the button this month.
Nicola Wheeler, CEO at InExeter, said: “January can feel like a pause after the buzz of Christmas. January Sessions makes it easy to reconnect, learn something new and enjoy a great night out, without the drinking.”
What you can do in January

After the hustle and bustle of Christmas, January often becomes a time for people to recharge, enjoy some ‘me time,’ and explore more creative and mindful activities. In recent years, the focus has shifted away from traditional resolutions, which many see as short-lived, toward experiences that offer lasting value. These events are designed to spark new opportunities, skills, and hobbies that can grow throughout the year, while still providing the fun of a night out, minus the alcohol.
