Festive Special River Cruise

Take time out of the busy festive season to sit back, relax and enjoy Christmas in Devon on the calm and sheltered waters of the River Exe. Our festively decorated boats have covered and heated lower decks, with cosy blankets, plenty of fresh air and great views on our upper outside deck. You will have a warm welcome with a glass of proper homemade mulled wine and a tasty warmed minced pie to enjoy whilst you sit back and take a breather from the busy Christmas season.

Exeter’s best charity pub quiz is back, and takes place at WESC Foundation on Thursday 5th March 2020.

Bring together the sharpest minds from the office, and gather round your brainiest friends for a night of pub quizzing.

Money raised this year will help projects like providing day time support, activities and respite for blind or partially sighted young adults with additional needs who live in the community. In the past these events tend to raise around £2,000 and make a huge difference to the unique service we are able to provide.

Stumpwork sampler

Stitching With Liz & Helen: Stumpwork Sampler

Learn a range of stumpwork techniques, including needlelace, wrapped wire & padded slips to create a sampler. There are dozens of ways in which relief can be added to an embroidery to give it a 3D effect and added interest. Some methods have been handed down over the centuries while others make use of more modern materials.
