The search begins for Devon’s Best Young Landscape Artist 2022

Young artists aged 18 and under can now compete for the title of Devon’s Best Young Landscape Artist 2022. Devon CPRE, a South West branch of the countryside charity CPRE, held the competition for the first time last year and was impressed with the quality and quantity of entries from across the county.

The charity is inviting budding young artists to showcase their creativity by capturing Devon’s unique and precious landscapes in the medium of their choice. There are two entry categories - one for teenagers and one for younger children - with cash prizes for the winners....

Exeter-based illustrator-animator Leo Jamelli is collaborating with University of Exeter academics Dr Siobhan O’Dwyer and Dr Catriona McKenzie on an emotive contemporary art project entitled Spotlight on Care.

He's created a hand-drawn animation of an unpaid carer from Exeter which will be projected onto the Exeter Phoenix after dark in late October. Bob Dylan’s brand-new art collection, Mondo Scripto , has launched this week, exclusively sold by leading retail art group, Castle Fine Art.

Exeter cartoonist creates comic book about struggles with anxiety

Exeter cartoonist Ross Hendrick has recently completed his latest work, a comic book which humorously yet thoughtfully documents the struggles with social anxiety.

Ross, who has previously worked for such publications as The Beano, Viz and the Express & Echo, is the creator of a popular webcomic called Socially Awkward Misfit. The protagonist is a character called Sam (an acronym of Socially Awkward Misfit) who is loosely based on Ross's own life.
