The Summer Show is the longest running Devon Guild exhibition, launched in 1955 to celebrate the skills and original work of long-standing Guild Members through to the newest faces. The exhibition is selected by the Guild’s Members’ Selection Committee, a representative from the exhibitions team and an independent craft professional, just a week prior to opening to the public. The Devon branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England has launched its 2019 art and writing competitions for primary schoolchildren - calling on them to use their creativity to capture Devon's coast and countryside.

CPRE Devon's two children's competitions are a fun way to encourage outdoor learning and help youngsters engage with and enjoy the great outdoors. There's something for every child who's prepared to put pen to paper, either to create a piece of artwork or a short piece of writing.

A Devon arts education charity that has worked with more than 170,000 children and young people is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Queen Street is a key route into the city and this month has seen that route brightened up with new art work installed with the help of InExeter and the St David's Neighbourhood Partnership.

Illustrator, Aylwyn Bowen is excited to be part of the project saying, “I have a passion for creating images of Exeter’s well known buildings and love to work on projects related to the city.
