An Exeter Daily reader today blamed Westpoint for much of the traffic chaos ahead of Elton John's concery in Exeter last night.
Gary, from Yeovil, said the problems appeared to be due to the parking of vehicles once inside the ground.
In an email, he said: "One marshall told us that 'people had arrived in the wrong cars' suggesting that people were having difficulty parking on the wet grass unless they were in a 4x4.
"When we got near to the parking places it was obvious that there were very few stewards visible and there seemed to be no coordination whatsoever....

Malcolm Forbes- Peckham last played a piano concerto with Amadeus back in 2014 when they performed Mozart’s double and this year he performs Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue as well as the quasi- solo piano part of Stravinksy’s ballet Petrouchka. Lovers of classical music are in for a rare treat this weekend, as Exeter’s best-loved choir combines with professional orchestral players for a special evening of music by Mozart.
The concert in Exeter Cathedral, which takes place on Saturday 18th June, will be given by the children and adults of Exeter Cathedral Choir and the professional orchestral players of the Cathedral Chamber Orchestra.

Il Ritorno: A Perambulation for Unaccompanied Violin will be performed by internationally renowned violinist Peter Sheppard Skaerved on a 1629 Girolamo Amati violin (Amati’s son taught Stradivari the craft of violin making).

The Exeter Singers, conducted by Tony Yates are holding a charity concert in aid of the “Meet and Remember Club”, a newly formed charity serving local people and in particular those with early or moderate dementia. The club meets weekly on Wednesdays at The Beacon, Beacon Heath. The choir will be performing a variety of music, from madrigals to Cole Porter, interspersed with poetry and solo piano and voice.
