Hundreds of gifts donated to RGB's charity Christmas present appeal

RGB Building Supplies is thanking the Exeter community for donating gifts to its 2017 Christmas Present Appeal. All presents have now been given to Children’s Hospice South West to pass on to the children and families it supports.

Following a call out inviting customers and the local community to donate gifts suitable for a child of any age or their parents, over 300 gifts were placed under Christmas trees in RGB branches.

Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) is hosting a Christmas event to help raise funds for the charity – which is the chosen charity of Princesshay for 2017 – with a host of fun events and entertainment on Friday 15 December.

Shoppers can enjoy some fantastic festive entertainment including:

11am-1pm – CHSW’s own Little Bridge House Choir 1pm-2pm – Singing sensation Yazzy 2pm-3pm – Kingsmen choir – an enthusiastic choir featuring men from all over Devon

A children’s hospice in the South West is to be given a charity Christmas boost after an automotive retailer and a shopping centre joined forces. Snows Toyota Exeter is raffling a new Toyota C-HR, worth nearly £24,000, with £5,000 already raised in ticket sales before the Christmas prize draw on December 23. Charity calls for volunteers to help with Santa Run

Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) is delighted to be one of the chosen charities for the Exeter City Community Trust Santa Run in Exeter on Sunday 3rd December, and is looking for volunteers to help marshal the event.

Volunteers would be needed from 8.00am – 10.30am on the day of the run which starts and finishes in Princesshay, so you can then continue the festive spirit with a bit of Christmas shopping at the Christmas market afterwards!

‘Stamptember’ at Children’s Hospice South West

Local charity Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) has a new initiative for September. The charity is encouraging supporters to donate postage stamps to help raise funds for the charity’s three children’s hospices in the region.

All kinds of stamps can be donated; new, old, used and collectable. Large quantities of stamps can be sold online to collectors, and the money raised will help the hospices to provide support and care for local children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

Can you spare a few hours to help support CHSW?

Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) is looking for volunteers to help sell car raffle tickets in Exeter’s Princesshay shopping centre.

As the shopping centre’s charity of the year, CHSW needs extra help on Fridays and Saturdays until the raffle’s draw on 23rd December. The time slots are just three hours so you can easily combine the volunteering with a day’s shopping.

Princesshay’s Bedford Square will burst into life on Saturday 15th July, from 11am to 3pm with a Dancing in the Streets event raising money for Children’s Hospice South West.

The brainchild of talented local choreographer Mandi Cox of Vibes Dance Company, Dancing in the Streets encourages people to take to the square and strut their stuff for an incredible cause.
