Thomson Reuters pledges support for children's charity

Thomson Reuters, the world’s leading provider of intelligent information for businesses and professionals, has pledged another year of support to Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) by signing up to sponsor one of the colour zones at this year’s popular Rainbow Run.

Digita chose the Children’s Hospice as its nominated charity for 2015 and has pledged to continue the support by extending its fund-raising efforts throughout 2016.

Old Mill to sponsor CHSW £50 challenge

West Country accountants and financial planners Old Mill are sponsoring Children’s Hospice South West’s 2016 £50 challenge in a bid to raise £25,000 for the North Devon based charity.

The £50 Challenge is an annual event where local businesses compete against each other to turn a £50 start-up investment into as much money as they can over a three month time frame, with all money raised going directly to Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW). Biking Santas make a sight for sore eyes!

There was a sight to see in Devon on Sunday for those doing some Christmas shopping as nearly a hundred motorbiking Santas, elves and even a present went through the city in convoy, taking part in a festive ride with a difference!

A festive motorbike cavalcade with a special difference will take place just a couple of weeks before Christmas this year – and YOU could be part of it.

The riders will be delivering Christmas toys to youngsters with life-limiting illnesses at the South West Children’s Hospice.

WiFi service delivery company, WiFi SPARK based in Exeter, has chosen Children’s Hospice South West as its charity of the year, and its latest fundraiser has seen members of the team hike the ten tors of Dartmoor.

Two local charities that help both young and older people are set to benefit from the fundraising efforts of a leading Exeter law firm, after being selected by its staff to become its charities of the year.

Motorbiking Easter bunnies' special delivery

A motorbike ride with a special chocolatey difference took place on Easter Sunday this year with riders delivering chocolate Easter eggs to youngsters with life-limiting illnesses at Little Bridge House, Children’s Hospice South West.

There were an amazing 58 motorbikes including a few scooters, a couple of trikes and even a motorbike with a trailer containing a couple of dogs enjoying a beautiful day out!
