Giving something back offers more than just a feel-good factor. For university students in a new town, lending a helping hand is also a great way to make friends, learn new skills and help their CV stand out from the crowd in a busy jobs market. Exeter builders merchant thanks community for Christmas present donations

The Exeter branch of RGB Building Supplies is thanking the generous local community for donating gifts to its 2018 Christmas Giving Tree Appeal in aid of Children’s Hospice South West.

The builders merchant invited customers to donate gifts so that a hamper of presents could be given to every family being supported by the hospice over the festive period. The donations have now been passed on to the charity in time to be given out on Christmas day.

This year's Great West run is almost upon us approaching and competitors are putting in final preparations on the fitness and fundraising front.

RGB Building Supplies is delighted to announce it raised a fantastic £10,634 for its chosen charity Children’s Hospice South West over the past 12 months.

Due to the overwhelming support RGB received for its fundraising efforts, which included charity breakfast mornings, golf days, Easter competitions, and branch events, as well as staff members taking on various individual challenges, it will be continuing its support of CHSW and will again be undertaking numerous activities throughout 2018.

When you’ve only cycled a total of 60 miles before, taking on Children’s Hospice South West’s epic 205-mile Ride for Precious Lives event could be a massive challenge, but nurse Jo Bingham, from Exeter, is determined to give something back to the charity.

Local charities form first-time partnership for Great West Run

FORCE Cancer Charity, Hospiscare and Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) have formed a partnership to promote support for local charities at this year’s Great West Run.

Children's Hospice SW goes Green

Local charity, Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) has taken some practical steps to ensure its mass participation events are more environmentally friendly.

This year CHSW is holding its much-loved Rainbow Run at Westpoint near Exeter on June 9. It’s a 5k family-friendly fun run, which raises tens of thousands of pounds for the charity.

Thousands raised for Princesshay’s charity of the year

Princesshay has announced it has raised more than £17,000 for its charity of the year, Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).

The biggest and brightest event of the summer is back! Join Children’s Hospice South West for its annual Rainbow Run on Saturday 9 June at Westpoint, Exeter.


It’s the happiest 5k around and a great way to support your local children’s hospice. You can run, walk or jog through colourful explosions of paint, and anyone aged 5 years and over can join in.
