Princesshay has announced it has raised more than £17,000 for its charity of the year, Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).

A car raffle in partnership with Snows Toyota & Lexus Exeter raised over £11,200 alone for the charity, with the winning ticket drawn on 23rd December of the brand new car.

Throughout 2017, Princesshay has worked with Children’s Hospice South West to raise vital funds for the charity which provides the only children’s hospice care in Devon. Fundraising events included; Princesshay sponsoring CHSW’s annual Rainbow Run in Exeter; proceeds from the Princesshay honey sales, a Spring Spree clothes drop, donations from GoKart Party, and Wayne Pearce, the Centre Director at Princesshay, taking part in its Jail & Bail event.

Naomi Dymond, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser at Children’s Hospice South West, said: “We’re so grateful for the support from both Princesshay and Snows Toyota & Lexus Exeter who have helped raise such an incredible amount for the charity. We would like to thank everyone who has volunteered, donated or helped in any way throughout the year. Children’s Hospice South West is reliant on the generosity and efforts of local businesses and the community, to support the work of our three hospices across the South West.”

Alongside the activities throughout 2017, a wishing well and collection pot in the Princesshay car park raised additional funds for the charity.

Andy Littlejohns, Princesshay operations manager said: “We were delighted to support Children’s Hospice South West and raise a substantial amount for this local charity.
