First-time buyers find their perfect home as Exeter development reaches major milestone

First-time buyers Zoe and Alfie have found the perfect place to put down roots in Exeter, as the new community they now call home celebrates a major milestone.

The couple moved into Tilia Homes’ Brook Manor development earlier this year after deciding the time was right to take their first step onto the property ladder.

After renting in Exeter, Zoe and fiancé Alfie explored a number of developments across the area before finding a home at Brook Manor that offered the space, flexibility and location they were looking for.

Their move comes as Brook Manor, which is being delivered by Tilia Homes, part of the untypical group, celebrates welcoming its 100th homeowner.

Zoe said: "Our home is our sanctuary. It's our office, it's our space to spend time together and it's where we can welcome family and friends. We absolutely love living here."

Working from home several days a week, the couple were looking for a property that offered flexibility as well as room to grow.

"We wanted a proper study but also somewhere our family could stay when they visit," Zoe explained. "Brook Manor offered exactly what we were looking for. The quality of the homes, the location and the layout all stood out to us."

For Zoe, however, it's the community that has made Brook Manor feel like home.

"Everyone has been so welcoming, from the sales team to our neighbours. We've had barbecues together, game nights and everyone has been so willing to help each other. It already feels like a real community, which is something we didn't expect to find so quickly."

Buying a first home can be a daunting experience, but Zoe also praised the support the couple received throughout the process.
