In February 2020 Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) introduced two rapid response Critical Care Cars (CCC) to their fleet. Now, a year on, DAA are celebrating the anniversary of their first mission on 3 March 2020 and highlight the difference they have made to the service and their patients.

LGBT+ people across the South West are being urged to explore adoption as a potential parenting route as a part of a national campaign launching today (1 March).

With 80,000 children in care in 2020 in England alone, LGBT+ Adoption & Fostering Week brings together local adoption agencies and potential new LGBT+ adoptive families. The campaign is led by LGBT+ focused agency New Family Social, with support from local adoption charity Families for Children.

People with Covid in Devon, who are over 65 or are clinically extremely vulnerable, are being encouraged to ask their GP about using a potentially life-saving device at home to check their blood oxygen levels are not getting dangerously low.

Under a new NHS scheme called Covid Oximetry at Home, eligible patients can be given a pulse oximeter – a small and simple device that measures levels of oxygen in the blood – to use in the comfort and safety of their home during the first 14 days of symptoms.

People’s photography project to record impact of deadly tree disease

People across Exeter are being invited to take part in a study to assess the effect of ash dieback disease on the landscape of the city.

Over the next few weeks fixed camera points are being installed in three locations across the city where ash dieback will have an impact.
