Exeter Community Bikes (ECB) is a Project that is just starting in Exeter. It aims to provide unemployed people with the skills, confidence and knowledge to recycle and recondition unwanted and abandoned bicycles and in the process reduce landfill, encourage more environmental awareness and enhance our community’s health and well-being. Cycling reaches out to people of all ages, gender, and social class and can act as a vehicle for engagement with diverse and hard to reach groups.

Are you a a keen swimmer? Then we have just the event for you! Come along and have a swim in beautiful surroundings, and raise funds for Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) at the same time. The one mile swim, which takes place on Sunday 15 September 2013, starts and finishes on Broadsands Beach in Paignton. Entry is just £20, although swimmers are asked to raise £30 sponsorship too.

An Art for Life charity auction takes place on Saturday 11 May 2013 at the Royal Clarence Hotel in Cathedral Yard, Exeter.

Hard working Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) staff got a treat recently from local company Therapy Works South West, who came in to demonstrate their seated acupressure massage in the work place scheme. Each member of staff was treated to 30 minutes of treatment which combines warming and loosening strokes (to back, neck and arms) with pressure point work (to back, forearms and hands). Families are being invited to the Grand Western Canal on Sunday 19 May to take part in the annual sponsored walk in aid of CLIC Sargent.
It is the 23rd year of the event in aid of CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, and their families. Devon Hotels raised over £1,000 for the RNLI and Hospitality Action following a charity auction at their Annual Association Dinner, with each charity receiving £500 to put towards the valuable work they do.
