The Southgate Hotel has chosen Hospiscare as their Charity of the Year

We are delighted to announce that The Mercure Exeter Southgate Hotel has adopted Hospiscare as their Charity of the Year for 2013.

Hospiscare is a local charity providing an all-encompassing service for people with a terminal diagnosis. All of their services are provided free of charge with the support of the local community.

Employees of the Southgate Hotel have already been very busy the past few weeks fundraising for Hospiscare by organising a Pink Pig Racing event and taking part in the Starlight Walk in Exmouth on 11 May.

On the announcement of the chosen charity, Fiona Dardé, the Southgate's General Manager, said: “As part of our ongoing commitment to support charities in the local area we are truly delighted to announce that we've chosen Hospiscare in this year’s charity vote.

"Throughout the next 12 months our staff will come together to raise funds through a variety of events and activities. We look forward to working with Hospiscare and supporting them."

On 13 July, six of the Mercure Southgates' employees will be skydiving at the Dunkeswell aerodrome near Honiton.

By jumping from 15,000 ft, they are hoping to raise over £1,000.00. To support and sponsor our team, you can contact Christelle, our sales and marketing administrator who will indicate you how to donate for Hospiscare.
