West Buckland WI members visit Tone Dale House

On Friday 22nd April, 31 West Buckland WI members visited Tone Dale House, for a talk & tour - the first of its kind - possibly many more to come for groups/parties. It was an honour to have these ladies see some local history - in exchange for some scrumptious….. home made cakes and biscuits... of course! The ladies had such a successful time they are looking for a return visit, to look in more detail at the 100’s of memorabilia items, photographs etc.

BBC safari star to give talk in Exeter

Saba Douglas-Hamilton rose to fame as an elephant conservationist and TV presenter on the BBC series This Wild Life and Big Cat Diaries.

Saba is giving a talk on the 18th April at The Corn Exchange in Exeter - offering theatre goers an evening of exciting wildlife stories and intimate behind the scenes tales of her life at Elephant Watch Camp with her young family.

Local choir opens national theatre tour

An extraordinary musical event is shaping up for a Westcountry Choir when they sing at the opening night of a world premiere Theatre show TINY HEROES at Exeter’s BikeShed Theatre next week.

Local folk choir Voices In Common have been invited to sing the opening three nights of a newly written theatre piece by award winning playwright Daniel Bye.

Legendary 10cc to perform in Exeter

Celebrating the 40th anniversary of their seminal album Sheet Music – which included Top 10 hit The Wall Street Shuffle – 10cc will embark on a 26-date theatre tour, commencing 23rd September at Hall For Cornwall in Truro, before heading to the Great Hall in Exeter in September.

Led by 10cc co-founder Graham Gouldman, the band will perform two sets at each concert, the first half of the evening comprising Sheet Music its entirety, with a pause for the symboli.c turning of the vinyl album.
