Concerns for missing woman and child

Police are asking if anyone has seen a woman and her young child who left the Teignmouth area several months ago.

Angel Hudson, 25, left the area with her 17 month-old son Arthur Hudson-Cardy and has made no contact with her family since. Police would like Angel to make contact with them to ensure she and Arthur are both safe and well.

Angel (pictured) is described as a white woman, 6ft tall with shoulder length dark straight hair.

Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of Marc JONES who has been reported missing from his home address in the Teignmouth area. Marc is a 30 year old white male around 5’7” tall of broad build with short unkempt dark hair and a Scottish accent. Marc was last seen between 1900 -1930 hours on Thursday 21st November 2013 when he left the home address wearing a dark Superdry jacket with blue writing on it, blue jeans and white trainers. Social media support for town traders

Traders, businesses and community organisations who want to make the most of social media are invited to the Teignmouth and Dawlish Social Media Cafe on Monday 11 November being held at Ugly Duckling Cafe, 2 The Lawn, Dawlish from 5pm until 7pm.

I first saw 17-year-old Luke Friend, from Teignmouth, perform earlier this year at the Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink under a relatively tiny little tent with little more than his guitar and a mic.

At the time, I turned to my girlfriend and said 'this guy's pretty good'.

Usually there would be nothing that could possibly drag me away from the countless beer tents and packed food halls at the festival, but this young man had me hooked.

Devon's Luke determined to win the X Factor

Devon's Luke Friend is so determined to win the X Factor he's been rehearsing into the early hours.

The 17-year-old, from Teignmouth, sailed through to the next round after putting in an impressive performance on last Saturday's show.

And he was up until 3am today ensuring he repeats his success this weekend.

Police appeal for witnesses after stabbing in Teignmouth

Police in Teignmouth are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in the leg in the town.

At around noon on Sunday 25 August, on the area of Clampitt Lane, a 32-year-old man received a serious knife wound to his leg in the assault.

The victim, who lives in Paignton, received treatment for the wound at Torbay Hospital before being later discharged.

A 55-year-old man from Teignmouth was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, interviewed and later released on police bail until 3 October 2013.

Police promise to hold perpetrators of violent disorder in Teignmouth to account

Police in Teignmouth are currently investigating a large scale disorder which took place in Northumberland Place in the early hours of Sunday 4 August. It is believed up to 15 people were involved in the disorder, some of whom had been inside Kools nightclub prior to the disorder breaking out. Local officers responded to the incident at around 2pm but due to scale and numbers involved had serious concerns for their safety and had to deploy captor spray. South Devon Rural Housing Association (SDR) and Teignbridge District Council are celebrating the opening of a housing development, which provides much needed accommodation for people with learning disabilities.

Set in the Dartmoor National Park area and close to the historic Buckfast Abbey, Braemar Apartments and Merryfield Barns is a development of six apartments and four cottages that provide independent living for people with learning disabilities leaving residential care or other shared accommodation.
