Traders, businesses and community organisations who want to make the most of social media are invited to the Teignmouth and Dawlish Social Media Cafe on Monday 11 November being held at Ugly Duckling Cafe, 2 The Lawn, Dawlish from 5pm until 7pm.

The Social Media Cafe is the brainchild of Mandy Pearse, Director of local firm Seashell Communications and Emma Kay, Teignmouth and Dawlish Town Centre Development Manager. It provides a free drop-in event where people can pick up tips and hints on using social media, ask questions, meet other like-minded people over a cup of coffee.

The event will run from 5pm until 7pm on Monday 11 November and people are welcome to drop in at a time which suits them. There will be several small 10 min tips and hints sessions and otherwise it will be a chance to talk and ask questions on a one to one basis.

Mandy Pearse, Seashell Communications said: “We had a good turnout last month in Teignmouth and are looking forward to meeting more businesses and community groups this time. We provide free informal advice to help firms and groups make the most of social media.”

The Teignmouth and Dawlish Social Media Cafe is held regularly alternating between Teignmouth and Dawlish.

“With so many small businesses and community organisations, we are delighted to be able to offer this free advice on how to make the most of social media, added Emma Kay, Teignmouth and Dawlish Town Centre Manager. "We are committed to providing support for our local businesses and this is just one of a number of events we are putting on, We’re in Dawlish this month but the event is open to anyone from Teignmouth as well.”

A Facebook page called Teignmouth & Dawlish Social Media Cafe www.facebook.com/TandDSMcafe has been set up so that people can keep up with events, access information and ask questions.
