Shoppers search out designer delights

South West shoppers have a chance to bag a designer bargain as part of a charity treasure hunt which launched this week.

Designer creations from some of the biggest names in the fashion world will arrive at Cancer Research UK shops as part of the Tatler Treasure Hunt.

For two weeks, shoes, scarves, clothes, handbags and other stunning creations will be hidden in stores, alongside items regularly donated by the local community.

Princesshay is set to celebrate the start of term with their annual Student Lock-In.

The popular event returns to Princesshay on Wednesday 1 October from 6.30pm-9pm and will be the fourth event of its kind in Exeter.

Princesshay will remain open ‘after hours’ for an exclusive, one night only shopping event to welcome the new and returning students to Exeter.

They've pioneered Sunday opening and aerial drone videos, now award-wining Devon estate agency Helmores will be locking up late twice a week.

More UK retailers post disappointing profits

More large retailers have confirmed that their Christmas profits were below expectations.

Supermarket chain Morrisons have joined retailers Debenhams in issuing a profit warning to the stock market while both Tescos and Marks & Spencer have both said they had disappointing Christmas trading.

Morrisons, which may be opening a new Exeter store near the Police Headquarters in Middlemoor, revealed today (9 January) that its full-year profits were well below market expectations.

Plans have been revealed on a new £7 million investment to Exeter’s Guildhall Shopping Centre.

The plans mark the first large investment in the centre since it was first built in 1972 and will modernise business premises in the centre.
