Chagford will be bustling at a festive late-night shopping event on Tuesday 10th December 2013.
As always, the Dartmoor town will be a riot of colour with lights and over 50 decorated Christmas trees on all the shops. There will be entertainment in all the streets from 6pm, which will appeal to all age groups and shoppers. Independently owned Exiv Boutique formerly known as ‘Iris Boutique Exeter’ located in Upper Paul Street, just off Gandy Street celebrates its 5th anniversary with a brand new look. Mother and daughter partnership, Marion Harbison and Nichola Hartley bucked the trend in 2008 by launching ‘Iris Boutique Exeter’ during the height of the recession. Five years’ later they are refreshing the business with the new name of ‘Exiv Boutique’, launching a new website and have taken on fashion graduate Agne Andrivlionyte expanding their team.

Kate Lamport, Queen of Style launched the first of her new ‘My Ex Wardrobe’ pop-up shops with visitors bringing once-loved clothing and accessories to buy and sell. Over 1000 pieces from well-known brands were on display at the event held at Radiance MediSpa and a charity raffle raised £200 for ‘Live Life Then Give Life’.

Radiance MediSpa hosted ‘A Radiant Christmas’ in aid of The Lady Taverners and Look Good Feel Better (LGFB) with complimentary taster sessions by therapists and stylists at their luxurious venue. BBC Radio Devon presenter Judi Spiers compered the evening with models showcasing the latest Steampunk clothing courtesy of Velveteen Clothes Emporium. The conference centre was transformed into a mini Christmas Fair with unusual and exciting gifts from local independent retailers and Casino Select hosted a roulette table raising further funds for the charities.
Princesshay is collaborating with Radio Exe this festive season to support its Operation Christmas campaign. Operation Christmas encourages shoppers to buy an extra gift which will be donated to Princesshay’s local charity of the year, WESC Foundation.
There will be dedicated Operation Christmas drop off points throughout Princesshay and at the WESC charity shops in Exmouth and Honiton for shoppers to drop off their chosen gifts. On Christmas Eve all donated gifts will be presented to WESC Foundation.

The John Lewis Christmas advert has quickly become one of the early signs of Christmas since the 2010 advert featuring a boy who waits all year to give rather than get a presents was a national hit.
This year’s advert continues the theme of the previous years of going the extra mile to get your loved one the perfect gift.
