Princesshay is set to celebrate the start of term with their annual Student Lock-In.

The popular event returns to Princesshay on Wednesday 1 October from 6.30pm-9pm and will be the fourth event of its kind in Exeter.

Princesshay will remain open ‘after hours’ for an exclusive, one night only shopping event to welcome the new and returning students to Exeter.

Over 35 retailers together with the restaurants will be keeping their doors open while students indulge with brands such as Topshop/Topman, Superdry, schuh, New Look and River Island. A Total Students DJ truck will create a high energy atmosphere for student shoppers and retailers involved together with special event entertainment and activities.

Students will not only enjoy the benefit of exclusive discounts but can take advantage of a range of beauty promotions, including hand massages from Molton Brown and a brow bar compliments of the concessions from Debenhams.

Local favourite Chandos Deli will be serving up their delicious chorizo special underneath the glass canopy in the main mall and wagamama will have their sampling station out during the event for students to enjoy.

The event will also be hosting a range of activities, including competitions, giveaways and a jam packed timetable of entertainment from the likes of Red Bull, Spotify, Stagecoach and Clifton Sports Centre.

Wayne Pearce, Centre Director at Princesshay said: “This year’s Student Lock-In is set to be our biggest and best yet. It’s a fantastic evening where our retailers offer one night only discounts for the new and returning students to Exeter, some offering up to 25% off their standard prices.

"This exclusive shopping event is a highlight in the student calendar and our retailers love getting involved.  We hope the students really enjoy the event and come back and visit us again soon.”

Over 3,600 students attended the event in 2013, with over 4,000 expected this October. Due to the popularity of this event students are encouraged to pre-register for faster access via www.princesshay.com/students and show their registration code and valid student ID on the night to receive their exclusive discounts.
