Casa Maroc to Host Fundraiser for Headway

On Friday 11 April, Casa Maroc in Exeter will be laying on a special menu for Headway Devon in their function room.

For just £10 each, you will be able to enjoy a three-course meal in the lavishly decorated Casablanca Lounge.

Fundraising Manager, Holly Keatings, said: “We’re really grateful to Casa Maroc. Lloyd's Kitchen's Business Event

Members of the local business community were welcomed with wine and canapés at the newly refurbished Lloyd’s Kitchen based in the heart of the City. The event celebrated the re-brand and showcased the new dinner menu as the restaurant now opens for Friday and Saturday evenings. Guests sampled a tasting menu which included the new business express lunches and a charity raffle was held to raise monies for ELF (Exeter Leukaemia Fund).

Investment is on the menu for historic Exeter building and restaurant

A local Exeter restaurant, Harry’s on Longbrook Street, has secured its future through a mortgage from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking after its leasehold was due to expire.

Owner, Samantha Pounds, approached the bank when the owners of the building declared their intention to sell the property and the restaurant’s future was put into question.

With the additional support of £150,000 from the Regional Growth Fund, Samantha was also able to secure future employment opportunities for the local area.

City Centre restaurant caters to Exeter's new growth

A local restaurateur is making a major investment to meet the discerning Exeter market. City centre-based Lloyd’s Café and Bistro is re-branding and undergoing a dramatic and high-end refurbishment to create a London-feel restaurant.

The plans are to create a ‘mini-convent garden’ on Catherine Street which encompasses the open Piazza offering alfresco dining located parallel with the High Street and adjacent to the Roman ruins; popular as a meeting place for shoppers and visitors to the city.

Lloyds will be closing temporarily on 15 September for a complete re-fit.

The unveiling of the new brand and official restaurant opening in aid of the restaurant’s designated charity Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) will take place on Thursday 26 September at 10am with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by City Centre Manager John Harvey.

Radio Exe will be joining in the celebrations from 10am – 2pm with representatives from the designated charity ELF.
