Tuesday 14 July will see Torquay's Bistrot Pierre celebrating La Prise de la Bastille, the French national day.
In recognition of this historic date in the French calendar the bistrot staff will be dressing up in French inspired outfits and cooking up a vibrant party atmosphere - as well as its usual mouth-watering French dishes.
General Manager Beau Clarke says the evening promises to be one of the highlights of the summer: “La Fête de la Bastille is a national celebration in France. It’s a great opportunity for us to celebrate French culture and passion for good food.”...

Supermarket group Tesco has today announced that it has bought the award-winning restaurant group Giraffe.
The acquisition forms part of Tesco’s strategy to develop the space in some of its larger stores and create even more compelling retail destinations where customers can meet, eat and drink, as well as shop. The first Giraffe restaurant to open next to a Tesco store will be near London.
