Princesshay is pleased to announce that for the fourth consecutive year it will host Exeter city centre’s annual Christmas lights switch on event on Thursday 20 November 2014 from 4pm-8pm.

The popular ceremony will see European Athletics Championship Gold medallist Jo Pavey and actress Caroline Quentin, Patron of Families for Children together with members of Exeter Chiefs rugby team switch on the city centre’s Christmas lights at 6.30pm, joined on stage by the Lord Mayor of Exeter and Father Christmas!

Exeter City FC get festive

Thursday 11th December sees the Exeter City playing squad in Princesshay and available for signing the new club calendar and all your Christmas club merchandise.

Exeter City Football Club, the Express and Echo and Radio Exe, with the support of Land Securities, are combining to make a special Christmas evening event in Princesshay between 5.00 and 7.00 pm on Thursday December 11th.

All the Grecians first team squad will be present plus popular mascot ‘Grecian The Lion’ and the club’s Football in the Community team will be there with an interactive football game and details...

Exeter firms get on their bikes for charity

During National Adoption Week, Exeter firm WSP have challenged Parsons Brinckerhoff to the ultimate static cycle race to raise awareness and much needed funds to support families who have adopted in Exeter.

Members of both companies will take part in static bike race in the centre of Princesshay shopping centre on Wednesday 5 November.

The victorious office will be the one whose members cover the most miles during the day.

All money raised on the day will be donated to Families for Children Adoption Agency to be able to continue providing the vital support needed...

Make a wish in Princesshay for Dream-A-Way

A wishing well has been hand crafted and donated by local contractor, Build Care Plus Limited to Princesshay’s charity of the year Dream-A-Way.

The wishing well is located in the centre of the main thoroughfare in Princesshay and has proved a big hit with shoppers of all ages.

Jeff Merrett MBE, Chairman of Dream-A-Way said: “We’re extremely grateful to Build Care Plus for creating and donating the wishing well.

Most people risking skin damage

Members of the public in Exeter are still not wearing SPF on a daily basis, despite potential health risks, a recent survey reveals*.

The Skin Angels, Exeter’s campaigning beauty therapists from Purity Boutique Spa, recently asked members of the public who were shopping in Princesshay if they were wearing SPF and only 26% of people asked said they were. This means that 74% were unprotected from damaging UVA and UVB sun rays.

The Skin Angels are on a mission to educate people young and old about the importance of year round sun protection.

Princesshay’s Student Lock In a huge success

Over 5,000 students descended on Princesshay, Exeter between 6.30pm – 9pm on Wednesday 1st October for its annual Student Lock In event. Over 35 retailers and restaurants opened their doors after hours to offer discounts of up to 25% to students for ‘one night only’.

The event has been hailed the busiest and most successful Student Lock In to date for the city.

Jamie’s Italian is set to open its newest restaurant in Exeter’s Princesshay.

Jamie Oliver’s popular group of restaurants has 35 outlets across the UK, but the new restaurant in Princesshay will be a first for the West Country.

The Exeter restaurant is set to open in early 2015 and will occupy the unit between Coal Grill & Bar and Café Rouge.

Princesshay is set to celebrate the start of term with their annual Student Lock-In.

The popular event returns to Princesshay on Wednesday 1 October from 6.30pm-9pm and will be the fourth event of its kind in Exeter.

Princesshay will remain open ‘after hours’ for an exclusive, one night only shopping event to welcome the new and returning students to Exeter.
