Michelmores named 'Ones to Watch' in 2016 Best Companies Survey

Michelmores is delighted to have been awarded 'Ones to Watch' status in the Sunday Times Best Companies Survey this year − one of only ten firms in the South West to be accredited this year.

The Firm increased its overall survey score by 39 points compared to last year's results and has improved across all eight strands measured within the survey.

'My Team', which measures employees' views on team spirit and belonging and 'My Company', ranking how proud people are to work at Michelmores, were highlighted as the Firm's strongest performing areas.

Five Exeter-based projects have been shortlisted in the 2016 Michelmores Property Awards, which showcase and celebrate the very best of the South West's property and construction industry across nine award categories.

Projects include St Leonards C of E Primary School, shortlisted in the 'Project of the Year with a Value Under £2million' category, Dean Clarke House, shortlisted for 'Heritage Project of the Year' and Exeter's COB II Passivhaus Residences, shortlisted for 'Sustainable Project of the Year'.

Exeter PA Network showcases importance of personal brand

The Exeter PA Network's first development event for 2016 saw over 50 PAs and support staff from organisations including Landmark, Devon County Council and Devon Air Ambulance come together to learn about 'personal brand' and its importance in the world of business today.

Jonathan Alder, from Exeter based brand agency Alder and Alder hosted the 'personal brand' session focusing on what it is, why it is important, and how taking control of your personal brand may mean the difference between an unfulfilling job and a rewarding career.

Michelmores are set to launch Rising Stars, a new forum for ambitious professionals in the first six years of their career. The forum will provide members with the opportunity to connect with other professionals and share knowledge for their future careers.

Michelmores raises £65,000 for charity

Michelmores is proud to announce a fundraising total of £65,273 for its Charity of the Year, Macmillan Cancer Support.

Over its two year partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, Michelmores hosted a variety of events across its Exeter, Bristol and London offices.

The majority of funds raised came from the firm’s popular 5K run, that takes place in Exeter's City Centre and attracts around 1,000 runners each year.

Events also included a Charity Art Auction, Christmas Bazaar and Macmillan Coffee Morning along with several sweepstakes, raffles and office dress down...

Entries are now open for the Michelmores Property Awards, which showcase and celebrate the very best of the South West's property and construction industry. Michelmores joins Exeter Dementia Action Alliance

Michelmores has become the latest corporate member to join the Exeter Dementia Action Alliance − which works to reduce stigma and misconceptions surrounding dementia, by raising local awareness and offering regular dementia information sessions.

The alliance has over 29 members and counting, including Waitrose, Barclays Bank and the Royal Albert Memorial Museum.

Michelmores climbs seven places in national legal rankings

Michelmores has risen seven places in The Lawyer's UK 200 Annual Report, achieving record turnover of £30.1 million for 2014/15 − a 15% increase on the previous financial year. The annual report, which ranks UK law firms by levels of turnover, placed the firm in 82nd position.

Michelmores has increased its international activity over the last 12 months, which now accounts for approximately 15% of total revenue. This has been supported by its involvement in YangTze Law, the UK's first wholly Chinese-owned law firm – an exciting new development for the firm.
