Michelmores has risen seven places in The Lawyer's UK 200 Annual Report, achieving record turnover of £30.1 million for 2014/15 − a 15% increase on the previous financial year.
The annual report, which ranks UK law firms by levels of turnover, placed the firm in 82nd position.

Michelmores has increased its international activity over the last 12 months, which now accounts for approximately 15% of total revenue. This has been supported by its involvement in YangTze Law, the UK's first wholly Chinese-owned law firm – an exciting new development for the firm.

Malcolm Dickinson, the Managing Partner of Michelmores, said:

"Michelmores is an ambitious and growing firm and we are delighted to have climbed seven places this year. With an improving economy, combined with the hard work and commitment of everyone at Michelmores, we have boosted revenue across all our offices as we continue to develop our regional, national and international presence."

The firm's strong performance is reflected in their Chambers and Partners rankings which saw a record number of 39 individuals recognised as 'notable practitioners' and 18 practice areas ranked – four of which are tier 1. In the Legal 500 guide the firm received their highest ever number of rankings; ten practice areas moved up a tier, 11 new practice areas were ranked, four partners were recognised as leading individuals and 40 individuals were listed as 'recommended lawyers'.

Michelmores recruited 45 new staff in 2015 alone. Four lawyers were also made up to partner – including two who first joined as trainees, bringing the firm's partnership to 62.
