Haven are thrilled to announce that Devon Cliffs Holiday Park in Exmouth have donated £5,144 through the sales of 5p carrier bags in Kent.

Haven has been working in partnership with the Marine Conservation Society since 2016 to help protect the shores and marine wildlife in the UK. Devon Cliffs Holiday Parks’ donation contributes to an incredible £45,000 donation from the sales of 5p carrier bag across Haven’s 31 coastal holiday parks in England and Scotland.

The iconic Seaton Jurassic heritage centre has been shortlisted for a record six prestigious building and planning awards for its astonishing and forward-thinking design.

The centre, which was designed by Plymouth-based firm Form Design, was opened last year and has since had 50,000 visitors to the site.

Seaton Jurassic is owned by East Devon District Council and operated by the charity Devon Wildlife Trust.

Business confidence amongst accommodation providers is at a record high for the summer holidays in a VisitEngland survey published this week. The ‘business confidence’ survey findings also show that out of 500 accommodation providers, more than half are expecting an increase in visitors following the EU referendum outcome with a particular boost expected for the domestic market. Retired holidaymakers asked to share stories

Retired holidaymakers are needed to take part in new research which aims to discover how giving up work has affected their tourism choices.

Academics from the University of Exeter Business School want to collect data on how people holidayed before and after retirement. They hope this will allow experts to better understand how tourism affects the wellbeing of older people, and how retirement leads to changes in the choice of location and holiday type.

The East Devon Countryside Team Education Rangers are about to start a busy summer spent outdoors.

Over the summer term the rangers will be running more than 50 visits to East Devon District Council's nature reserves, beaches and other sites across the area, and over 30 of these visits are to EDDC’s Seaton Wetlands site.
