Learn how to use a bow saw and a hand drill safely. Make ‘wood cookies’ to decorate, hang or spin. Our session finishes with a campfire gathering of hot chocolate, snacks and a campfire song.

Following a popular programme of activities last year, the National Trust rangers in East Devon are once again running free family activities each Wednesdays of the summer holiday at Branscombe. Powderham Castle, the 600 year old home of the Earl and Countess of Devon near Exeter, opens its doors this Friday for the start of the new 2015 season.
After months of preparation, the Castle & grounds will be open again to visitors from Friday 27th March to Friday 30th October 2015, and provides a perfect history-laden family day out. The Castle is open from Sunday to Friday from 11am to 4.30 pm.

A special Easter egg hunt inspired by Rugby World Cup 2015 kicks off along the Exe Estuary Trail this spring.
The Exe Egg Chase will run during the Easter holidays, starting on Saturday March 28 and running through to Sunday April 12.
People taking part have to find small, Rugby-ball shaped chocolate eggs which are hidden at a number of businesses along the estuary trail route including, Saddles & Paddles, Toby Buckland Plant Centre, Stuart Line Cruises, Darts Farm, the Salutation Inn and Double Locks.
