As Westpoint Exeter celebrates its 25th year it reveals the lucky winners of its free charity event giveaway at a birthday tea party held at the venue’s Wadsworth Pavilion.

Fundraiser Kirsten skydives for eye charity

A payroll assistant at Exeter and Exmouth based chartered accountants Thompson Jenner has taken part in a sponsored tandem skydive for local charity See The Future.

Fundraiser Kirsten Ziemer, who works in the firms Exeter office, took part in the charity tandem skydive from Dunkeswell Airfield near Honiton in early August and raised over £400 for the charity.

Exeter Deaf Academy’s College students and staff will return in September to a refreshed entrance, thanks to the help of Michelmores LLP.

A trusty team of 5 volunteers from the law firm’s Exeter-based office spent the day at the Deaf Academy recently. Battling soaring temperatures, the team were kitted out by a generous donation of painting materials from B&Q in Exeter, and did an excellent job repainting and revitalising the Academy’s College entrance.

Berry Recruitment counts on staff for fundraising

Research into the fight against cancer has been given a boost by staff at the Exeter branch of a national specialist recruitment company.

They were among 150 dedicated employees from Berry Recruitment's 27 offices nationwide to rise to a fundraising challenge in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Local opticians support veterans

Camoflauge and war paint were in on Saturday when staff from an Exeter opticians raised awareness and funds for the Blind Veterans UK.

On Saturday 28 June staff from Specsavers Exeter dressed up in camouflage to raise money for the charity. In addition, they have raised funds throughout June for the cause.

Ashfords LLP, a leading UK law firm, is holding a Summer Fun Day at Tedburn St Mary School in Exeter to raise money for Children's Hospice South West.

The Summer Fun Day is set to burst with fun-filled stalls to make for an entertaining and enjoyable charity fete.

Over £2,000 has been added to the Exeter Foundation coffers following the highly successful Big Walk 2014 held at the weekend.

Helping to raise vital funds for theFoundation, which looks to support a minimum of 20 local charities and organisations, the 84 walkers proudly took up the challenge of working their way around the picturesque 10-mile course that started and finished at Sandy Park, home to the Exeter Chiefs rugby team.
