Sights set on man’s best friend

Staff from an Exeter opticians are going canine-crazy for Guide Dogs Week with a visit from a furry friend and a range of activities in-store.

Specsavers in Exeter is hosting a main fundraising event on 10 October, with the chance for people to come and say hello to a guide dog and talk to a local guide dog owner about eye health.

The store are raising money for the charity throughout this week to raise as much as possible for the cause.

Store director at Specsavers in Exeter, Jonathan Baumber says: "We’re determined to raise as much money as possible for Guide Dogs for the Blind during our fundraising week.

"We’ll be donating money from glasses repairs towards the charity and will be accepting all donations throughout the week. It’s important that our community comes together to support such a worthy cause."

Specsavers in Exeter will be fundraising for Guide Dogs until Saturday 11 October, with its main fundraising event on 10 October.
