Devon Aldi colleagues take on 900-mile challenge for charity

Aldi colleagues in Devon are taking on a 900-mile relay to raise funds for the supermarket’s charity partner, Teenage Cancer Trust.

The route will pass 90 Aldi stores in total, with colleagues from across the region taking turns to run, cycle or walk from store to store between Cardigan and Camborne. Running from Thursday 2nd July to Thursday 6th August, colleagues will pass the baton across towns, cities and countryside along the way.

We’d also like to thank all our customers who are supporting them, whether by cheering them on along the route or sponsoring their efforts. “As Teenage Cancer Trust’s dedicated partner, it’s always brilliant to see just how much our colleagues get behind the charity and continue to raise funds for its incredible work supporting young people with cancer across the UK.”

Vikki Calcutt, Co-Director of Engagement at Teenage Cancer Trust, said: “Aldi has been supporting Teenage Cancer Trust for an incredible nine years and we are always so grateful for their donations - it has a significant impact on the work we do.

"Every few hours, a young person in the UK hears the words “you have cancer”, yet cancer care wasn’t made for young people. Teenage Cancer Trust exists to make sure no young person goes through the trauma of cancer alone, but we can't do it without support.

“We want to say a huge thank you to all the colleagues at Aldi who are taking part in relay from Cardigan to Camborne and wish them the best of luck. We're cheering you on!"

Aldi first partnered with Teenage Cancer Trust in 2017 and since then, colleagues and customers have helped raise more than £13 million, with a target to raise £20 million by 2031.
