Event Exeter plans for the future after gold award

Events company Event Exeter has exciting plans to end the year after winning big at the 2016 Devon Tourism awards.

The company, which represents event venues at The University of Exeter, is now ready to host its Christmas parties for local businesses and residents.

Kate Durward-Akhurst, the Marketing Manager for Commercial Services at the University, said: “We will be welcoming back the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra to our Great Hall for their concert season and there is even another wedding before the year is out!”

Local mums launch pop up children's market in Exeter

Two local mums are launching a brand new pop up children’s market this month. The Cheeki Monkeys preloved sale will open it’s doors at the end of the month and, along with lots of bargains for mums and dads to browse, will also feature a ton of exciting entertainment for the kids. Taster sessions will be available from Rugby Tots, Pyjama Drama and Urban Flow to keep the little ones amused whilst the grown ups shop. The event will also include a bouncy castle, face painting, colouring contest and much more!

Fete raises over £1,000 for Balloons charity

The figures are now in from the Late Summer Fete, held on Saturday 17th September at Magdalen Court School and Kinderkare Nursery. This unique community event, spearheaded by Southernhay-based estate agents Naomi J Ryan , has raised an incredible £1,295.49 for bereavement support charity, Balloons .
