Fun Dog Show

Our first ever fun family dog show takes place at Poltimore House on 14th August. Doors open a 10am with the first fun class starting at 11am. Lots of prizes to be won from hairiest hound to child handler class, something for everyone pooch and owners alike. Raffle and tombola, prizes for dogs and humans.

Nominal fee to enter a class, house and grounds will also be open throughout the day. Contact events@poltimore.org with any queries.

Development event declared a great success

Staff from some of Exeter’s top employers honed their skills at a development evening arranged by a city networking group.

The event, which was organised by the Exeter PA Network, saw more than 50 members attend presentations and training sessions at County Hall.

The network, which is made up of admin professionals from across Exeter and the surrounding areas has around 400 members. As well as providing training, support and social networking, the group also raises money for charity. This year it is aiming to raise £7,500 for local charity, BEEP (Business Empowering...

Knightstone Manor opens for exclusive summer party

An exclusive tea-party was organised by Hospiscare at Knightstone Manor and sponsored by wealth management company Brewin Dolphin, Exeter office. The seventy special guests were Invited to join The Rt. Hon. Baroness Butler-Sloss GBE, Vice-President of the charity, for a traditional afternoon English tea. Kindly hosted at Knightstone Manor, located on the outskirts of Ottery St. Mary, the historical house is the private home of Jan-Eric and Jennifer Österlund.

The Bear Trail - Opening Day

The Bear Trail is an innovative and challenging outdoor adventure trail, masterminded by Ben Jordan, a former Captain who served for 5 years in The Rifles regiment of the British Army.

Set over a 10 acre site in Wescott, near Cullompton, The Bear Trail features over 16 separate obstacles where children (and adults!) can run, jump and climb their way across zig-zag bridges, high nets and bear-infested mud pits. The course incorporates physical activity, teamwork and creative thinking, giving cubs and grizzly bears alike the chance to push their boundaries and test their limits....
