Businesses from around Exeter came together  for an early morning networking breakfast to launch YMCA Exeter’s exciting 2017 campaign, Changing Rooms, Changing Lives.

This will see the renovation of the currently unhomely communal living space at its St David’s Hill accommodation centre, currently used by over 50 young people.

The event took place at Dean Clarke House, kindly hosted by Burrington Estates. Over pastries and coffees attendees heard from Peter Stephenson, Chief Executive of YMCA Exeter and Bethan Spencer, their Fundraising Manager, on exactly what this campaign means to the organisation and the residents of the centre.

Around the room, those who attended browsed the redesign plans, which have been put together by Interior Design, Naomi Cleaver. In between these, there was information on how those in the room could help fund parts of the project.

The project already has the support of Attention Media, Burrington Estates, Kirkham Board, Expedite and Wilkinson Grant but to help make this project the success it deserves to be, we need more businesses to get behind this transformational project.

Work begins at the St David’s Hill accommodation centre on 3 April but there is still funds to be raised. To pledge a cash donation, to donate a product or service, or to connect us with a contact of yours who may be able to help please email bethan.spencer@ymcaexeter.org.uk or ring 01392 410530.
