Firearms officers issued with Body Worn Video cameras

Today (Wednesday 17 March) sees the deployment of Body Worn Video (BWV) which is being issued to 270 Authorised Firearms Officers (AFOs), across Devon & Cornwall Police and Dorset Police.

The rollout of the cameras follows a successful trial and public consultation.

The cameras will be issued to all firearms officers and represent a significant development in the use of technology to capture the best evidence for victims, and reduce the likelihood of victims and witnesses having to appear in court if an offender offers an early guilty plea. The team at Crediton Parish Church have to produce new themes and ideas each year, which will work as an exhibition with flowers. This year's Crediton Parish Church Flower Festival theme is no exception.

On Good Friday (14 April) Plymouth Argyle played an away fixture at Portsmouth, whilst Exeter City played at home to Barnet.

Legal firm's donation boosts city charity project

AN ‘at risk’ charity project, which supports people with dementia, has moved a step closer to being saved, thanks to a donation from Exeter solicitors Cartridges Law. New vaping laws come into force this week

Friday 19th May will see a landmark change to the vaping industry in the UK. The Tobacco Products Directive (TPD), enforced by EU and affecting the whole of the European Union, is due to come into forces.

Suppliers will need to comply to the regulation changes or potentially face up to 24 months in prison.
