Exeter Northcott Theatre is proud to present a brand-new adaptation of William Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors.

The production will open at Exeter’s Rougemont Gardens before touring to Knackershole Barn in Dulverton and Torre Abbey in Torquay.

Directed by Metta Theatre’s Poppy Burton-Morgan, the production will feature a cast of recent graduates including Martin Bassindale (Antipholus of Syracuse), Katriona Brown (Ring Mistress), Ella Dunlop (Dromio of Ephesus), Grace Hussey (Dromio of Syracuse), Lucy Rothwell (Luciana), Jennifer Ruth-Adams (Adriana), Tanwyn Smith-Meek (Aegeon) and Alex York (Antipholus of Ephesus).

Marrying a colourful circus-infused physicality with Shakespeare’s linguistic acrobatics and live music, this will be a fast paced and joyous new outdoor staging of Shakespeare’s farce of mistaken identity.

Poppy Burton-Morgan said “I can't wait to start collaborating with this extraordinary bunch of performers - not only have we found a company of exceptional classically trained verse-speaking actors but between them they can also juggle, throw knives, sing, dance and play accordion, flute and percussion. Let the jollity commence!”

Supported by Exeter Northcott Theatre alumnus John Nettles and by The Foyle Foundation, The Comedy of Errors will play at Exeter’s Rougemont Gardens from Thursday 20 - Sunday 30 July.

Performances daily at 7.30pm
Matinees (Tue 25, Wed 26, Thu 27, Sat 22 & 29, Sun 23 & 30 July): 2pm
