The UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, CLIC Sargent , is calling on Exeter’s residents to come out and support its shop as they open their doors again on Wednesday 14 April , following the national lockdown.

The charity shop in Exeter (Unit 11, St Thomas Centre Cowick Street EX4 1DG ) has been closed since the end of last year and shop managers are now looking forward to welcoming back Exeter’s bargain hunters.

SWASFT raise over £20,000 for Young Lives vs Cancer

The staff from the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust has been supporting CLIC Sargent since 2008 raising £23,927.52 for young lives vs cancer through the Pennies from Heaven Scheme.

Over 4000 members of staff from the trust took part in the Pennies from Heaven Scheme, which meant that their wages were rounded down to the nearest pound with the pennies being donated to CLIC Sargent. On 5th October, the finalists from the Devon Schools Choir Competition, run by La La Choirs, took centre stage at Southernhay URC and competed for a chance to perform in Exeter Cathedral at the annual sell out concert, CLIC for Christmas. Five choirs had been shortlisted and all the choirs at the final sang two songs each. Yet again, the standard was incredibly high, giving the judging panel a really hard time deciding between them.

On Friday 8th December this year La La Choirs will perform the 3rd annual ‘CLIC for Christmas’ concert at Exeter Cathedral in aid of CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people. In 2015 we raised £9,600, in 2016 we raised £12,000 and for 2017 we are aiming even higher! We are thrilled to welcome headline sponsors Apple Taxis on board this year, and with their support we know we can help more families through the most traumatic time of their lives.

Local company teams up with Exeter Chiefs to put on ‘Day to Remember’ for families affected by cancer

A local company who raise funds for a children’s cancer charity have teamed up with Exeter Chiefs to make a day to remember for local families who have been affected by cancer.

Adopstar, an advertising company based in Cullumpton, are a corporate partner of CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people. Now the company have gone that extra mile by setting up a special day for local families at Premiership champions, Exeter Chiefs.

Sam cycles London to Paris for young cancer patients

Sam Pratt spends her day managing the CLIC Sargent Exmouth Charity Shop but this amazing woman is going one step further to help more young cancer patients.

In September this year Sam will be cycling from London to Paris to help raise money vital funds for CLIC Sargent.
