The employees from Adopstar’s decided to support CLIC Sargent a little differently this Easter, and have very kindly donated over 600 Easter eggs to the children CLIC Sargent support across the South West.

CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading provider of support for young cancer patients under the age of 25, and their families.

When cancer strikes young lives CLIC Sargent helps families limit the damage cancer causes beyond their health. Cancer affects every part of life, for the young person and their families – relationships, confidence, money, school, and work.

CLIC Sargent care teams will fight tirelessly to minimize the damage it causes The local advertising consultancy, Adopstar, originally decided to get 170 Easter eggs to match CLIC Sargent £170 grant that they give to families as soon as they are in contact with the charity.

170 Easter eggs was the challenge, but amazingly, within 4 weeks they already had hundreds of Easter Eggs.

With collection points in Exmouth, Bude and at their offices in Cullumpton; Adopstar ended up collecting and donating 666 Easter Eggs to CLIC Sargent.

Adopstar Managing Director Theresa Benson said: “Last year, Adopstar were given a bag full of Easter Eggs which we decided to drop off to CLIC House in Bristol. There was a little boy who had just finished his treatment and his dad said we could give him an egg. It was this little boy’s smile that made us choose to do the same this year but we wanted to up the goal.

“I would just like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated, especially those local businesses such as Adopstar ourselves, RSD Recruitment, Aspen Residential, SRP Driver Solutions, Tone-a-cise and NDH Design. Donations were also given by generous people in Bude, Exmouth and Cullumpton, as well as our own staff. It amazed us how such a small donation can make a big difference to child.”

The 666 Easter Eggs were handed to children across the South West, being donated to; Treliske Hospital, Derriford Hospital, North Devon District Hospital, Taunton Hospital, Gloucester Hospital, Bath Hospital, Bristol Children’s specialist Centre and both of CLIC Sargent Bristol’s Homes from Homes.

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Engagement Manage Jordan Anderton Said: “I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated an Easter Egg to Adopstar, everyone who received one was extremely grateful.

“Adopstar have been so supportive of CLIC Sargent over the years and this is another example of their generosity. They work tirelessly to try and make a difference to the families we support and I can not thank them enough.”
