CLIC Sargent call to ‘band together’ for cancer campaign

In the build up to World Cancer Day on February 4th, CLIC Sargent are encouraging locals to raise vital funds and awareness for CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people.

When cancer strikes young lives CLIC Sargent helps families limit the damage cancer causes beyond their health.

Cancer affects every part of life, for the young person and their families – relationships, confidence, money, school, and work. CLIC Sargent care teams will fight tirelessly to minimize the damage it causes.

On Friday 9th December 2016, La La Choirs held their second annual ‘CLIC for Christmas’ concert at Exeter Cathedral.

Performing to a sold-out audience, they started the festive season off with a bang with a selection of Christmas favourites such as the Perry Como classic, ‘It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas’ and the Louis Armstrong hit ‘Wonderful World’. After a hugely successful 2015, La La choirs return to Exeter Cathedral, along with some very special guests, to raise money for young cancer patients.

The concert is taking place at Exeter Cathedral on Friday 9 December and starts at 7pm.

CLIC for Christmas 2016 - final lineup revealed

Schools from Barnstaple and Plymouth have won a chance to perform in a major fundraising concert in Exeter Cathedral. The Park Community School and Devonport High School emerged victorious from the Devon Schools Choir Competition, run by La La Choirs at Southernhay URC on October 6. The schools will now perform in Exeter’s historic cathedral on Friday, December 9th, as part of the CLIC for Christmas concert to raise money for CLIC Sargent. CLIC for Christmas: Calling Devon schools

A new year, a new partnership as Exeter Airport has chosen the UK’s leading cancer charity; CLIC Sargent, as their charity of the year for 2016.

Exeter Airport’s members of staff voted to support CLIC Sargent this year as they wanted to help families in the area who are affected when a young person has been diagnosed with cancer. During the airport’s association with the charity over 800,000 people will travel on 40 routes and there will be giving opportunities whilst the passengers are in the catering and retail areas of the airport.
