Exeter is a modern, bustling, 21st Century city which, thanks to its compact size, river estuary, proximity to beach and countryside, offers many opportunities for dog owners and their companions. Although, like the rest of Devon, Exeter, Exmouth, Budleigh Salterton and the environs are described as ‘dog welcoming’ we all know there is often not much difference between dog friendly, dog tolerant and dog suspicious!

So, as with each new place you visit it is sensible to check out local restrictions on council websites and always respect your other visitors. For example the...

Gripsure , the UK’s leading creator of non-slip decking, has named Saturday 29 January ‘Slippery Decking Day 2022’. The firm, which manufactures anti-slip decking for homeowners and commercial customers across the UK and Europe, believes this is when all the contributing factors are aligned, putting us at the greatest risk of an accident as decking in the UK reaches ‘peak slipperiness’. Traditional timber and composite decking boards become dangerously slippery when wet or icy and as the result of the build-up of algae and leaves. Gripsure has pinpointed the last Saturday in January as...

World’s first zero-emission all-terrain electric commercial vehicle hits Crowdcube funding target after just four days

Devon-based EMotive, creator of the world’s first zero-emission all-terrain six-wheel commercial electric vehicle, has surpassed its £180,000 Crowdcube campaign funding target in just four days.

Ranging from fire rescue all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) to farm, forestry and adventure tourism trucks, EMotive’s disruptive E-ATV platform addresses a huge gap that currently exists for 6-12 tonne ATVs; in a market where the Government’s Transport Decarbonisation Plan means that the sale of new internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles weighing from 3.5 to 26 tonnes, will end in 2035....

Red Dragonfly Productions bring the real story behind the legendary Chinese woman warrior that inspired Disney’s films to Exeter's Northcott Theatre on 12 February 2022, in time for the year of the Tiger.

Theatre company Red Dragonfly has been making East-Asian stories accessible to a British and international audience...
