This December, Santa Claus and his elves will be based in the heart of Exeter city centre.

New to Princesshay this year, Santa and some of his elves will have their very own Arctic Adventure on the 1st-2nd December and 8th-9th December 10am-4pm.

Princesshay has transformed the former Hobbs store with snow covered trees and decorations to create a truly authentic Artic Adventure. All the way from the North Pole, Santa’s sleigh will land for family pictures to capture the Christmas magic.

To mark the end of the First World War Centenary, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) has launched its “Road to Peace” project. The project tells 120 personal stories of casualties who died during the final 100 days of the First World War, from 8 August to 11 November.

Metal Matters!

Metal matters and it can be endlessly recycled in to new items from cars to kettles – that’s the message that children from two East Devon primary schools have been learning over the last few weeks as part of a district-wide campaign asking residents to recycle more metal.

East Devon District Council and its partners SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, are calling on households to recycle more of their drinks cans, food tins, deodorant cans, aluminium food trays, foil and metal jar and bottle lids in their green recycling sacks which are collected every week from the kerbside.
