Local businesses and jazz trio pledge to drum up funds as Exeter’s ‘Row for the Ocean’ team unveils its newly-wrapped boat

Welcome drinks, canapes, raffle prizes, a charity auction and a boat unveiling, accompanied by live music from the Ronnie Jones Trio, will make for a fun-filled evening at Exeter’s The Terrace next Thursday to raise funds for Devon’s Row for the Ocean team.

Exhibition of abstract paintings in Devon this September

Abstract paintings are the focus of a new exhibition at a Devon gallery this September.

Distraction featuring works by local artists Sandra Lissenden, Roger Lissenden and Chantal Ashwell runs from September 3 to September 22 at Artizan Gallery in Lucius Street in Torquay. There will be an Artist Preview from 6pm to 8pm on September 7.

Skinner aiming to build on Tigers win

Exeter Chiefs must use their impressive win over Leicester Tigers last weekend as the springboard for another big performance ahead of Saturday's trip to rivals Wasps in the Gallagher Premiership (2pm).

Last Saturday, Vospers partnered with Heart Radio and took to Princesshay Square to celebrate the upcoming opening of their new £12m supersite in Matford, Exeter.

Flybe extends shirt sponsorship with Exeter Chiefs

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has extended its long-standing sponsorship of Exeter Chiefs rugby club through the 2018/19 season.

For the ninth consecutive year, the distinctive Flybe logo again features on the back of the players’ shirts, the Exeter-based airline having been a Chiefs shirt sponsor since their first year in the top division in 2010. As a result, the logo has been prominent on the team’s shirts during all three Premiership finals, including their Championship winning season in 2017.

Play tennis for free on newly refurbished courts in Exeter

Special ‘turn up and play’ sessions have been organised on courts at Cowick Barton Playing Fields, with free tuition from a qualified coach thrown in for good measure.
