RGB Building Supplies has selected the Yealm Ward at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital as a finalist in its Well Built Community Fund and it’s now down to a public vote to see if it’s chosen to receive £1,000 worth of building materials.

The Yealm Ward at the hospital specialises in the rehabilitation of those who have suffered a stroke and patients can be on the ward from anywhere between two and 12 weeks.

The hospital would like to create a therapy garden for use by patients to aid their recovery, and as a welcoming outdoor area for families to spend time in. The donation would be used to build raised planting beds, create a wheelchair friendly walkway, install a pagoda, and much more.

Paul West, Branch Manager at RGB Exeter, commented:

“Our Well Built Community Fund continues to prove extremely popular and once again we were inundated with nominations from a variety of groups and charities, so congratulations to Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital for being chosen as a finalist.  As its local branch, we’re encouraging people in the area to get involved and vote for them.”

Votes can be cast by visiting RGB’s Exeter branch during opening hours and placing a chip in the relevant box, by voting in the poll that will be at the top of RGB’s Facebook page, or by emailing RGB@pmwcom.co.uk and putting the name of the group being voted for in the subject line.

The vote will take place between Monday 3rd December and 8am on Monday 17th December 2018. Votes cast outside these dates will not be counted. Only one vote per person via one method of voting will be counted.

The winner of the £1,000 worth of building materials will be the group that receives the most votes.
