New national report highlights practical and financial challenges faced by UK mums and mums-to-be in the workplace

More than half of women wouldn’t tell an employer they were pregnant if offered a promotion or new job, according to the latest research by maternitycover.com

A new study released today by recruitment specialist maternitycover.com shows that 57% of women from the South West would not necessarily admit to being pregnant if offered a promotion or new job, with 52% of those women insisting that their decision to be ‘upfront’ would depend on the role being offered.

Plans to start new local television channels in Devon

Devon may soon get two new local television channels according to regulator Ofcom.

Locations across the UK, including Plymouth and Barnstaple, are slated to gain independent channels making original programming.

Ofcom is inviting applications from independent studios to get a licence to found the new channels for a local audience.

Eleven more licences were announced today as part of an ongoing process of applications.

WBW Solicitors’ new Southernhay office has been opened by the Lord Mayor of Exeter, Councillor Rachel Lyons.

The firm has moved from their office in Queen Street to the Georgian building in Exeter’s professional quarter and held an open afternoon to give clients, colleagues and friends the opportunity to look around their new five-storey home.
