UK and Ireland law firm, Browne Jacobson is backing a national effort to mobilise millions of volunteers while strengthening its employee volunteering offer, as a Founder Member of GoVo , the digital volunteering platform developed by Royal Voluntary Service.

Michelmores has advised longstanding client Succession Wealth on its £385m sale to Aviva.

The sale to Aviva, which is subject to regulatory approval, will see Succession continue to be run by its existing management team, operating as a separately regulated firm with its existing brand. Leading housing association Sovereign is working with crowdfunding platform Crowdfunder to invest in employment and training projects.

Groups and charities that have a focus on these projects and are based within three miles of Sovereign homes in the South and South West of England can apply for a share of £100k to boost the fundraising they’ve already done.

Sovereign Housing Association will invest nearly half a million pounds over the next two years in giving young people a voice in their housing and community future.

The housing association, which has homes across the south of England, will receive £225,250 in funding from the #iwill Fund, a £54 million joint investment from The National Lottery Community Fund and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) – and will invest the same itself – meaning that nearly half a million pounds will go towards encouraging youth participation.
