Local businesswoman takes over Complete Estate Agency as four Devon branches remain

Local businesswoman Sara Watkins-Schmidt has taken over Complete Estate Agency, with all four of its Devon branches and its existing 23-strong team remaining in place.

The established estate and lettings agency operates from Bovey Tracey, Newton Abbot, Teignmouth and Exeter (Cranbrook), with all four locations continuing to trade under the Complete Estate Agency name following the acquisition.

The deal includes Complete’s portfolio of 375 managed rental properties, alongside its residential sales operation and established presence within the local new-build market.

Sara, who is local to the area herself, said protecting the reputation and relationships already built by Complete will be central to her plans for the business.

She said:

“Complete is already a really strong local business and that was exactly what attracted me to it.

“There are 23 experienced people here who know the area, know their customers and have built relationships within these communities over many years.

“I’m local myself, so that personal service and local knowledge is really important to me.

“This isn't about taking over and changing everything. The Complete name is staying, the four branches are staying and the team is staying. I want to build on what is already here and give the business the opportunity to grow even further.”

Sara has a background in sales and marketing and became a business owner in 2022 following redundancy. She launched her own lettings business in spring 2024.

She had built a portfolio of 33 managed properties before acquiring Complete, taking the combined portfolio to 408 managed properties.

Her plans include increasing Complete's reach across Devon and building on the agency's previous achievements in both residential sales and lettings.

The acquisition was completed with the backing of Sourced Living, part of Warrington-headquartered Sourced Property Group.
