Exeter Boxer Makes Fighting Comeback in Thailand as the Journey Continues

Exeter-based boxing promoter and coach Faheem Khan has made his return to professional boxing, travelling to Thailand for a comeback fight as he continues to build his career both inside and outside the ring.

After stepping away from competitive boxing in 2019, Faheem Khan has returned to the sport with renewed ambition, recently travelling to Thailand to compete in a professional boxing contest on 29 August.

The comeback marks another chapter in a boxing career spanning more than three decades.

Faheem, who is based in Exeter, has continued to play an active role in the local boxing community through his work as a coach, promoter and founder of Prince Fighting Associates, while also organising boxing events across the South West through Prince Promotions.

His return to the ring has been supported by friends, family, fellow fighters, coaches and local sponsors who have helped make the international comeback possible.

“Coming back after so many years away was a huge challenge, but I knew I still had the hunger,” said Faheem.

“Thailand was an incredible experience and I’m extremely grateful to everyone who supported me throughout the journey. Every sponsor, coach, training partner, friend and family member played a part.”

The comeback is not simply about returning to competition. Faheem is now looking towards the next stage of his boxing career, with ambitions to compete internationally and work towards challenging for a Major professional Boxing title.

Alongside his own boxing career, Faheem remains heavily involved in developing fighters in the South West.

Through Prince Fighting Associates in Exeter, he works with amateur and developing boxers, helping provide opportunities for people of different ages and experience levels to get involved in boxing and improve their fitness, discipline and confidence.

He also continues to promote boxing events throughout the region, giving fighters from Exeter and across the South West the opportunity to compete in front of their home crowds.

With several major events planned, including upcoming shows in Plymouth, Torquay and Exeter, Faheem says his focus is firmly on continuing to grow boxing in the region.

“Boxing has given me so much throughout my life, and now I want to give something back,” he said.

“My goal is to create opportunities for fighters, support local talent and continue putting South West boxing on the map.”

Following his Thailand comeback, Faheem has already returned to training and is preparing for the next chapter.
