Exeter Racecourse partners with ELF to launch Festive Gifting Programme

Exeter Racecourse is delighted to announce a new partnership with The Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) for ELF Raceday, taking place on Friday 5th December 2025.

Through this collaboration, ELF and Exeter Racecourse will launch a special gifting programme aimed at bringing joy to children and families supported by the charity during the Festive season.

JMC Group supports Exeter Leukaemia Fund with transport service

JMC Group, a leading global aviation services company, announced today it is pleased to partner with the Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) as its chosen charity for the next three years.

JMC, located at the International Office Park, Exeter Airport, will sponsor the transport service for patients attending the Haematology Centre at Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (RD&E).

Ottery coffee shop Tickety-Boo has pledged to raise more funds for its chosen charity Exeter Leukaemia Fund with a special ‘mince pie week’.

From Tuesday 17 to Saturday 21 December, the coffee shop team will donate the price of a mince pie to ELF for each one bought by a customer. That’s £1.50 per mince pie!

Tickety-Boo chef Trystan Bridgman says “All our mince pies are made in the traditional way by our talented baker Lesley.

Darts Farm continues to raise funds for local charities

During the summer months Darts Farm is renowned for its vibrant yellow fields of pick-your-own sunflowers and it’s superb ‘Maize Maze’. The beautiful flowers have raised a total of £5,034 this year for Darts Farm chosen charity, Hospiscare and the ‘Maize Maze’; a maze that’s constructed entirely out of the maize crop grown in the Darts Farm field, has raised a total of £3,061 for local charity ELF (Exeter Leukaemia Fund).

September is blood cancer awareness month and local charity Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) will be collecting and raising awareness across Devon to help raise funds and awareness for the charity.

ELF is currently looking for volunteers to donate an hour or two of time to help at various collections around the county. Volunteering is a great opportunity to get out and about in the community, meet new people and help a great cause.

Elf and fitness boost through cycle challenge training

Two researchers from the University of Exeter put elf before beauty to prepare to cycle 350 miles from London to Paris for the charity Alzheimer’s Society.

Drs Mark Tarrant and David Llewellyn launched their fundraising bid in full festive style, as they burned off the mince pies through starting their training for the epic cycle challenge.

Dr Llewellyn knows how tough preparation can be. He had planned to join a team of six dementia researchers on the ride last summer – but had to withdraw after breaking his wrist when he fell off his bike during training.

180 guests joined Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) for their Enchanted Ball at Exeter Castle. The event was sponsored by Equinix and Brewin Dolphin and hosted by celebrity gardener Toby Buckland.

Over £25,000 was raised at the event. This could pay for ELF’s counsellor for a whole year meaning that 300 families can get the advice and support they need during some of the most difficult times of their lives.

You could host an event in your garden, a local café or even hire a village hall. Or why not hold a cream tea in your office – a great excuse to all get together, eat scones, have a chat and raise money for a great cause!
