Plans for a new footbridge in Sidmouth to replace Alma Bridge have been drawn up by Devon County Council.
The County Council will be presenting its designs for a 22-metre span bridge to Sidmouth Town Council on Monday 6 March as it looks to conduct initial consultations with stakeholders, including East Devon District Council, South West Water and Environment Agency. FOLK music charity Traditional Arts Support in the Community (TASC) has received £24,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) to carry out research into the traditional step dancing of Dartmoor.

Police were called at around 9.40pm on Thursday 23rd of February with reports of an altercation between Oxford Road and York Road, near Sidwell Street in Exeter.

Devon County Council has joined forces with local and regional authorities across six other European countries on a new four year research project, aimed at reducing the amount of food waste in the supply chain.
The project, called ECOWASTE4FOOD, is funded by the Interreg Europe programme and includes authorities from France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Finland and Poland.
The first two years of the project will involve research to discover and share best practice and innovations for reducing food waste in each of the partner countries.
